DENTAL TECHNICIAN > 10 THINGS NOBODY EVER TOLD YOU ABOUT PRAMA

The first point to start from is implant planning and placement, which takes place thanks to the collection of clinical data carried out by the clinician and the team of specialists, followed by the definition of the treatment plan that must satisfy the function and aesthetics of the patient's stomatognathic system.

The use of a prosthetically guided surgery allows you to plan the insertion and inclination of the implant in a controlled way.

Paraboles, zenith and papillae: since these three elements, which together make up the framework that surrounds restorations and influences the aesthetic appearance of the tooth and gum, knowledge of periodontal and dental anatomy is the basis on which one should start since they are fundamentally important requisites for anyone involved in aesthetic features.

Analogical flow: when taking a classic impression, an artificial gum should be made because it allows the analogues to be preserved and the subgingival portion to be kept under control at all times. Besides, it facilitates the different working steps such as lost wax casting of calcinable components or abutment milling, whilst also making acquisition of the model with a laboratory scanner easier if CAD-CAM processing is going to be used. During ceramization, the artificial gum does not allow for optimal processing. This step is facilitated if an intermediate trial is undertaken before finalizing the work and if a position impression of the framework is made. In this case, the new model can be cast entirely in plaster. When taking a classic analogical impression, even if the clinician forgets to transcribe the implant diameter in the prescription, the technician can immediately and easily trace the corresponding implant diameter by following the transfer colour-code.
